We had very good attendance at the Community Forum last Sunday which was led by John Sory, our Senior Warden and John Brim, Chair of the Search Committee. Jason Roberson, Canon Missioner for Congregational Vitality from our diocese contributed as well. They gave the parish an overview of the search process and the progress made to date.
John Sory gave a very informative and thought-provoking summary of the major findings from the Congregational Assessment Tool (CAT) survey. For those of you who missed this presentation, or who would like to spend more time on the topic, John will be leading follow-on discussions the next two Sundays immediately after the 9:00 a.m. service in the Guild Room.
The Search Committee has been pressing ahead on finalizing our draft of the Parish Profile. We should be presenting our final draft to the Vestry shortly for their review.
We also accepted assignments for writing answers to the eleven essay questions in the OTM (Office for Transition Ministry) document. We will be sharing our first drafts next week with the committee for discussion.
Thank you for your continued support and prayers for the rector search process and all who are contributing to it.
