Pilgrimage Group (9th-12th Grade) | Mondays | 7:00 p.m. | Zoom
A pilgrimage is a religious journey. The spiritual practice of pilgrimage is one of the oldest traditions of our faith, documented as early as the third century, when Christians would journey to the Holy Land and would also travel to see the desert fathers and mothers, ascetics who lived in the wilderness of northern Africa and other remote areas. Pilgrimages in Europe tend to date to the Middle Ages when Europeans were unable to travel to Jerusalem or the Middle East and typically carried travelers to major cathedrals or the remains of a saint. This year, our Bethesda high school youth will be walking the Camino Ingles in Northern Spain. We are traveling to take a spiritual inventory, to walk in the footsteps of Christians who traveled centuries before us, to pray and hear the stories of other travelers on the way. A pilgrimage is about moving, about remembering, about being inspired and transformed, and about encountering others.
Bethesda Youth Group | 6:00 p.m. | Youth Room
For teenagers, Bethesda offers a regular weekly youth group on Wednesday nights for all youth in 6th-12th Grade. The Bethesda Youth Group balances fascinating conversations about faith with time for fun and games. We also have many special events over the course of the year including annual Universal Studios and camping trips as well as volunteer opportunities with local outreach organizations.
Our first series for the year will explore some of the spiritual beings that are mentioned in the bible, but we may not have a full grasp on what they are, things like angels, demons, saints, and more.
The Bethesda Youth Group meets on Wednesday evenings in the Youth Room. We begin with dinner at 6:00 p.m. and end with prayer in the church at 7:45 p.m.. The group is open to all youth in 6th-12th Grade. No registration is necessary to participate.

We’ll once again be volunteering at the Church Mouse on Saturday, February 12. We will then take a trip across the bridge to downtown West Palm for pizza and a fun afternoon at an escape room. It’s all about teamwork as we come together to help others and solve problems. All 6th-12th Grade youth are welcome.

That’s fine. Pull up a chair and play some fun games of bingo for prizes and, more importantly, to help raise funds for our youth pilgrimage in June.
Pilgrimage Practice Hike | March 26 | 10:00 a.m.
All youth that will be participating in our summer pilgrimage are encouraged to come to our one and only practice hike on Saturday, March 26 at Jonathan Dickinson State Park. This is a great way to test out your new equipment and/or hiking shoes as well as get a feel for what it’s like to hike in a large group.
