Discovering a Holy Lent

Join us on Saturday, March 2, for our annual Lenten Retreat, featuring the Rev. Scott Gunn, executive director of Forward Movement. We’ll spend a quiet day discovering and savoring the riches of Lent, using as our guide the “Invitation to a Holy Lent” from the Book of Common Prayer. Fr. Scott will help us practice self-examination, read and meditate on God’s holy Word, enrich our lives in prayer, and consider self-denial and fasting. If you have always dreaded Lent, this might be a fruitful way to see the joy that imbues the season. And if you have always loved Lent, here’s an opportunity to find fresh new ways to treasure this season set apart to grow closer to Jesus Christ.
