There is great evidence in the resurrection narratives that there was an emerging transformation as Jesus’ community began to encounter the risen Christ. Once beyond the immediate drama of Easter morning, the disciples began not by asking “Why me?”, but by asking, “What’s next?”
During this season of Easter, 2022, when many people are asking “Why me,” or “Why us?”, we’re invited instead to ask, “What’s next?” That is, how are we being called to practice resurrection — to participate in new life, new opportunities, new realities, new hope.
