Dear Bethesda Family,
We are pleased to announce that the Vestry has elected the members of the Rector Search Committee. We thank everyone who nominated the many qualified candidates from our fellow congregants. While the selection process was challenging, we are confident that we have a strong group and a meaningful representation of our church. The Committee is comprised of the following who have been approved and have accepted the call: John Brim (Chair), Katie Wandoff (Vice Chair), Barbara Callahan, Beth Cole, Suzanne Crawford, Frances Fisher, Chuck Hagy, Johanna Reyers, and Tanner Rose.
Under the guidance of the Diocese, the Committee is charged by the Vestry, the Wardens, and the Officers of Bethesda-by-the-Sea to search for candidates for Rector, to be presented to the Vestry for consideration and eventual vote.
Our process is on schedule as noted in the diagram below:
The parish survey was completed on time with a high response rate. Thank you to all who participated. Your input has provided key information for the development of the Parish Profile, which will be used to describe our church to prospective candidates. The Search Committee, after reviewing the survey results in coordination with the Diocesan advisors, will draft our Parish Profile.
In addition, the Committee intends to schedule conversations with parishioners in order to receive supplemental input prior to writing the Profile. We expect to complete the Profile and post the position in the fall.
